Quezon City gov't reports 1,302 COVID-19 cases

The Quezon City government on Thursday, based on information from the Department of Health, reported a total of 1,302 cases of confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The number of confirmed cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is now at 1,138 while the number of cases by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices is 961.

As of Thursday, there are 604 active COVID-19 cases in the city.

The local government also reported that there are 30 new patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total to 229.

There are three new deaths,  so the total number of deaths is at 128.

Quarantine facility

The HOPE 1 quarantine facility has 8 available rooms for COVID-19 confirmed and suspected patients.

At the HOPE 2 quarantine facility, 117 rooms/beds are used by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients while 167 beds are available.

There is no report on the update on community-based testing that were conducted in the city’s community-based testing centers, local government hospitals and by the QCESU.

Quarantine violators

There are more violators on Thursday compared to the previous day with 30 residents apprehended for violating the enhanced community quarantine protocols. On Wednesday, 18 residents were listed as violators. -- BAP, GMA News
