Valenzuela City’s COVID-19 cases rise to 227

The Valenzuela City government on Thursday reported three additional cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the city’s total of confirmed cases to 227.

According to the city government, VC225 and VC226 are barangay health station medical workers.

Meanwhile, VC227 is a 34-year-old female who passed away on May 15. Her positive test result came out on Wednesday.

As of Thursday, the city government said a total of 2,764 test results have been released.

Of the 2,764, it added, 274 tested positive, while 2,490 turned out negative.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 reached 13,434 with 846 deaths and 3,000 recoveries. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
