Quezon City COVID-19 cases breach 2,500 mark

The Quezon City government on Thursday reported that, based on information from the Department of Health, there are 43 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the city bringing the total to 2,531.

The total number of confirmed cases with complete addresses in Quezon City is now at 2,435  while there are 2,371 cases validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices.

As of Thursday, there are 948 active COVID-19 cases in the city.

As of June 11, 2020, at 7 pm. there are 28 new recoveries bringing the total number of recoveries in the city to 1,224.

The death toll has reached 200 with one reported case of death on Thursday.

Quarantine facility

The HOPE 1 quarantine facility has 13 available beds for COVID-19 confirmed and suspected patients.  There are 26 confirmed patients, 2 suspected and probable patients in HOPE 1 facility.

At the HOPE 2 quarantine facility, 216 beds are occupied by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients while 78 beds are available. Those who have been tested in QC’s community-based testing are brought in HOPE 2 for self-isolation while waiting for their results.

The HOPE 3 Facility is equipped with 84 beds, cribs, bassinets and other baby essentials. As of June 11, a total of 61 patients are admitted in the facility. -- BAP, GMA News
