COVID-19 cases in Quezon City climb to 2,605

The number of COVID-19 cases in Quezon City as tallied by the Department of Health went up to 2,605 on Friday night, the Quezon City local government said early Saturday.

This is an increase of 74 cases from the 2,531 cases reported on Thursday. 

Of this number, 2,509 were confirmed to have complete addresses in Quezon City.

Meanwhile, the  QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and District Health Offices validated 2,445 cases.

The active number of COVID-19 cases in the city is 947.

The number of recoveries rose to 1,291 after 67 new recoveries were reported.

The death toll meanwhile was at 207 after one new death was reported.

Meanwhile, the following barangays remain under special concern lockdown due to the high number and clustering of COVID-19 cases:

• Sitio Militar in Bahay Toro
• Calle 29 in Libis
• Kaingin Bukid in Apolonio Samson.
