OSG locked down after employee tests positive for COVID-19

By NICOLE-ANNE C. LAGRIMAS, GMA News

The Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) in Makati City will stay locked down until further notice after an employee was confirmed positive for COVID-19.

The employee tested positive for COVID-19 through an RT-PCR test on July 12, the OSG said Monday. The office was initially closed late June after an employee was found positive in a rapid test, which was subject to a confirmatory swab test.

Only certain personnel including the sanitation and disinfection team will be allowed in the premises during the lockdown period.

No documents will be received or sent out until further notice, the OSG said.

The office said it is tracing and monitoring contacts of the employee, sanitizing its premises and buses, and investigating "all related COVID-19 matters."

There were more than 56,000 COVID-19 cases, more than 16,000 recoveries, and more than 1,500 deaths in the Philippines as of Monday morning, according to the Department of Health.—AOL, GMA News
