Caloocan Mayor Malapitan places Brgy. 38 under total lockdown

Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan announced on Wednesday that Barangay 38 is now under total lockdown due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in the area.

In a Facebook post, Malapitan said total lockdown was enforced last July 14 and it will be until July 20. There are 42 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the said barangay.

Contact tracing and mass testing will be done to prevent the spread of the infection within the barangay, Malapitan said.

The mayor vowed that food packs would be given to affected families.

Earlier, Malapitan also bared that Barangay 93 would be under lockdown beginning July 12 until July 18 due to the increase in COVID-19 cases. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
