New batch of LSIs occupies newly disinfected sports complex in Manila

A fresh batch of Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) bound for Zamboanga and Dumaguete has  been occupying an area in front of the Rizal Memorial Complex in Malate, Manila since Thursday.

On Sunday, August 2, 2020, the LSIs appealed to the government to adopt them in the Balik Probinsya Program.

Authorities last Thursday cleared the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex of thousands of LSIs packed at the football stadium, and sent them home to the provinces

through the Hatid Tulong program.
