Picnics banned at Luneta Park due to COVID-19

Authorities have imposed a temporary ban on gatherings and picnics at the Luneta Park as part of efforts to curtail the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), according to Jamie Santos’ report on “24 Oras” on Friday.

It has been a tradition of some families to spend some time at the park during the holidays to see the sights and to hold picnics.

Park visitors are also required to abide by the park’s health protocols such as wearing of face masks and face shields and filling out a health declaration form.

Physical distancing must also be observed at all times inside the park.
