Quarantine violators in NCR breach 100,000 amid Alert Level 3 —PNP
The number of quarantine violators has reached over 100,000 in the National Capital Region (NCR) since the implementation of Alert Level 3 as of Tuesday, data from the Philippine National Police (PNP) showed Wednesday.
In an update, the PNP said a total of 102,670 violators have been reported from October 16 to 26, with a daily average of 9,334 violators.
A total of 11,577 violators were newly reported on Tuesday.
Around 56% of the violators were warned, 37% were fined, while 7% faced other sanctions, according to the PNP.
A total of 76,229 violators or 6,930 daily have violated minimum public health standards amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
For curfew, a total of 25,889 violators or 2,354 daily were reported in Metro Manila.

A total of 552 who are not considered authorized persons outside residence (APORs) were also caught outdoors.
The NCR will be under Alert Level 3 from October 16 until 31.
Under Alert Level 3, several establishments will be allowed to operate at 30% indoor venue capacity only for fully vaccinated individuals and 50% outdoor venue capacity, provided that all employees are fully vaccinated.
