Ex-senator Ramon Revilla Sr. brought to hospital

Former senator Ramon Revilla Sr. has been brought to the hospital, according to his son Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. on Sunday.

The younger Revilla made the announcement over Facebook

“My Daddy is on the way to the hospital right now, asking for your prayers,” he said.

Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla likewise confirmed the news about his grandfather.

“We need your prayers right now,” he said.

According to Bong Revilla in a message to reporters, he rushed his 93-year-old father to the hospital at around 6 p.m.

"He was hard of breathing and was somewhat unresponsive," he said.

The senator added that his father was given first aid and emergency services at the St. Dominic Medical Center before he was transferred to St. Luke's.

"Kasalukuyan po siyang nakakabit sa ventilator, but thank God, he is now conscious and responsive," he added. — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
