Two House employees test positive for COVID-19, sec-gen says

Two employees of the House of Representatives have tested positive for COVID-19, Secretary-General Jose Luis Montales said on Monday.

According to Victoria Tulad's tweet, Montales said one of the new COVID-19 patients work at the House Printing Office; the other at the Engineering Department.

The patients are spouses.

“We regret to inform you that two of our co- employees tested positive for COVID- 19 today," Montales said.

"They last reported for work on May 28... Let’s pray for our co-employees’ recovery," he added.

Montales said Protocols for handling positive cases and their close contacts were being observed.

A House employee at the printing office died in March due to COVID-19. At least two others were confirmed to have been infected with the virus. -NB, GMA News
