PNP personnel with COVID-19 now 414

Nineteen more policemen were recorded to have contracted COVID-19, bringing the number of affected policemen in the Philippine National Police (PNP) from 395 to 414.

Of the 414, seven had died while 240 had recovered, according to the PNP, citing figures as of Sunday.

“As of 6:00 p.m.  of June 14, 2020, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the PNP organization rises to 414 with seven (7) deaths and 240 recoveries,” PNP said in a Facebook post.

In Cebu City, two policemen had died because of COVID-19 after catching the virus while on duty.

The PNP is now monitoring 873 suspected cases and 699 probable cases of COVID-19, it added. --Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
