Lorenzana tests negative for COVID-19

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana on Wednesday announced that he had tested negative for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

"My test came out negative. Thanks for the prayers," Lorenzana said in a message to reporters.

Lorenzana underwent swab test for COVID-19 after one of his staff members got infected with the disease.

His staff member was with him when he attended the commissioning and blessing of BRP Jose Rizal in Subic last week and when he went to Jolo, Sulu last Monday. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
