Bong Revilla says he tested positive for COVID-19

Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. is now in isolation and under observation, after testing positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a statement released via social media on Sunday afternoon, Revilla said he took the test after one of the members of his household and one of his staffers tested positive for the disease.

"Pero huwag po kayo mag-alala, I am okay. Sila Lani at ang mga bata ay okay rin at sa awa ng Diyos, ay negative naman lahat," he said.

Revilla said he was in the Senate on Monday, and was last out Tuesday, during the 40th day since the passing of his father, Ramon Revilla, Sr. ,  in June.

"Kasama ang inyong mga dasal, at sa grasya ng Panginoon, makakaraos at malalampasan din natin ito... Ngayon pa lang, salamat sa inyong mga panalangin. Thank you for your prayers," added Revilla.
