House records its 79th COVID-19 case

The House of Representatives recorded its 79th COVID-19 case on Wednesday, its Office of the Secretary General said. 

The Office of the Secretary General Jose Luis Montales identified the latest COVID-19 patient as an employee from the Protocol and Special Affairs Service.

“He last reported for work on Sept 10. He developed symptoms after being exposed to his mother who earlier tested positive [for COVID-19],” the statement read.

“This is our 79th confirmed case [while] 13 are presently active cases,” it added.

At least 10 House members have earlier been infected with COVID-19 namely: Arlene Brosas of Gabriela party-list, Johnny Pimentel of Surigao del Sur, Mujiv Hataman of Basilan, Samier Tan of Sulu, Henry Villarica of Bulacan, Paul Daza of Northern Samar, Luis “JonJon" Ferrer IV of Cavite, Eric Pineda of 1-Pacman party-list, Ditas Ramos of Sorsogon and Francisco Datol of Senior Citizens party-list.
