Tagle leads Mass at Manila Cathedral for the first time after recovery from COVID-19

Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle on Sunday morning officiated a Mass at the Manila Cathedral for the first time after recovering from COVID-19, according to a report of  Manny Vargas on Dobol B sa News TV.

 

 

In his homily on Sunday, Tagle discouraged treating unexpected life events as useless, hinting on the subject of abortion due to unwanted pregnancy. He also discouraged treating the elderly as a burden.

On September 10, Tagle tested positive for COVID-19 upon arriving in Manila from the Vatican.

Tagle, who is also Vatican's prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, became the first head of a Vatican dicastery who got infected with COVID-19.

On September 23, Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines reported that Tagle had already recovered from the disease. â€”Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
