PNP reports 26 more COVID-19 cases, total now at 6,296

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday reported 26 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases among its employees, raising the total to 6,296.

According to the PNP Health Service, total recoveries also rose to 5,367 after 23 more patients recovered from the respiratory illness.

Meanwhile, the death toll also climbed to 20 with one new fatality.

So far, there are 909 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.

Nationwide, cases rose to 3331,869 on Thursday with 274,318 recoveries and 6,069 deaths.

The remaining 51,482 are active cases undergoing treatment or quarantine, 85.7 percent of which are mild, 9.8 percent are asymptomatic, 1.4 percent are severe, and 3.1 percent are in critical condition. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
