COVID-19 tally within the PNP now at 7,185

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases within the Philippine National Police (PNP) climbed to 7,185 on Friday with 44 more personnel testing positive for the illness.

Latest data from the PNP showed that total recoveries also rose to 6,582 after 50 additional police officers defeated the viral disease.

The death toll, meanwhile, remained at 22.

So far, there are 581 active COVID-19 cases within the police organization.

Cases of COVID-19 in the country rose to 378,933 on Friday including 330,457 recoveries and 7,185. deaths.

Of the 41,291 remaining active cases undergoing treatment or quarantine, 83.3 percent are mild, 11.1 percent are asymptomatic, 2 percent are severe, and 3.6 percent are in critical condition. -- BAP, GMA News
