President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday night offered a P50,000 to a P100,000 reward for information on government officials who are involved in graft, or even just planning to commit graft.

In a live briefing, the President said that individuals who provide information on small contracts will receive P50,000 while those who provide information on big contracts will receive P100,000.

“‘Huwag ka magbigay ng pangalan, sabihin mo lang ‘yung kontrata, dito ganito ganito, sino sa gobyerno… ‘pag malaking mga contract wag mo lang sabihin pangalan mo,” Duterte said.

“Ibulong mo lang na niluluto ‘yan, I will give you P100,000 and I will keep your identity secret until I reach my grave. Hindi ko kayo… papasubo,” he added.

Duterte also assured that he would “deal with the devil” should he find out that the informant was being harassed.

“At kung nalaman kayo tapos hinaharas kayo, paalamin mo ako. I will deal with the devil. ‘Yan ang gusto ko. Bumaril ng tao na legal. Kaya kugn inaano ka, tinatakot ka, paalim mo ako,” said Dutere.

The President added that he would allow the crime to develop and then take action.

“So diyan tayo mag tapos mga kababyan ko. Take note of my ‘yung ano ko P50,000 [and] P100,000 ‘yung malaki,” Duterte said.

“Bulong mo lang. ‘Wag ka mag bigay ng pangalan. Pag na-ano namin na toto, babantayan lang namin. Then I will allow it to ripen into a crime pagkatapos kami ang bibira,” he said.

More BI officials named

Duterte also used the Tuesday night briefing to name more Bureau of Immigration (BI) personnel who were penalized due to corruption.

“Sa corruption, sinasabi ko naman sa inyo na galit ako talaga. And I will not only, you know, investigate you, I will expose you to the public. Para malaman ng tao na niloko niyo ‘yung gobyerno,” the President said in the live briefing.

The President named three officials who were suspended while being investigated for grave misconduct, neglect of duty, or conduct prejudicial for the best interest of  the service in connection with the falsification of the travel records of a former executive.

Meanwhile, four other individuals were suspended pending investigations of formal charges for grave misconduct, serious dishonesty, gross neglect of duty, or conduct prejudicial to the best interest of service in connection to the pastillas scheme.

“Do not ever think that you are indispensable in the scheme of things sa gobyerno. Marmaing Pilipino diyan na mga graduate na mahuhusay na honest , marmaing walang trabaho ngayon,” Duterte said.

“Kaya kayong taga gobyerno may trabaho, take care of your position. Do not allow even a dent of anomoly na dumaan sa opisina mo. Kasi sa ako strikto na ako ngayon until the end of my term,” he added.

Duterte said many Filipinos were waiting for job opportunities.

“Kapag makita ko na may ano ka sisirain mo lang. So maraming Pilipino nag iintay… marami akong pang palit sa inyo. Do not ever think that you would count in the large context of governance,” he said.

Duterte earlier told corrupt Immigration officials to eat money in front of him, a move which Malacañang said showed the President was serious about eliminating corruption in the government. — DVM, GMA News
