Family, friends honor 316 heroes who opposed Marcos dictatorship

The 316 heroes and martyrs who fought against the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos and martial law were honored anew.

According to a report on “24 Oras Weekend,” the event was attended by their families and friends as well as others who fought against the dictatorship.

Flowers were offered at the Walls of Remembrance, where the names of the 316 were etched. A gong was also sounded while their names were read.

Meanwhile, the four members of the Bantayog ng mga Bayani Foundation who recently died were also remembered. These were Heherson Alvarez, Susan Quimpo, Alan Ortiz, and Justice Delilah Vidallon-Magtolis

The foundation said that those who risked their lives under the Marcos dictatorship should not be forgotten.
