DENR’s Antiporda reveals battle with COVID-19
By MA. ANGELICA GARCIA,GMA NewsEnvironment Undersecretary Benny Antiporda revealed he has been battling the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Antiporda said he started experiencing symptoms on March 22 which prompted him to take an antigen test. The test yielded a positive result.
Antiporda said he then quarantined himself and consulted a doctor via phone call.
On March 23, he said he began taking medication.

“Dr. Rogel prescribed Zithromax (once a day), Vitamins Zinc, Vitamins C, with 4 tabs of Lianhua every meal, salabat every now and then, and suob,” Antiporda said.
The next day, Antiporda said his situation worsened as his oxygen went down to 90%.
He said he was also sent Avigan medication but got scared to take it.
In a separate post, Antiporda said he and his wife were still getting treatment for the disease at their home. — DVM, GMA News
