Filipinos to catch last glimpse of PNoy in funeral mass on Saturday

Filipinos will catch a last glimpse of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III in a funeral mass on Saturday, June 26 at the Church of Gesu at the  Ateneo de Manila University.

The mass is scheduled at 10 a.m. to be presided by Archbishop Socrates Villegas, the Aquino family earlier said.

After the mass, the cremated remains of the former leader will be brought to the Manila Memorial Park

in Parañaque City for his final journey.

Aquino will be laid to rest next to his parents  -- former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. and former President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino.

Friends, supporters and folk from all walks of life braved the long line on Friday at the Ateneo for the public viewing of his remains in a silver urn.

Former Manila Representative Atong Asilo said Aquino was a hard working colleague in Congress during his stint as a lawmaker.
