Roque says he rode same C-130 that crashed in Sulu

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque on late Tuesday night revealed that he rode the same C-130 military cargo plane that crashed in Jolo, Sulu over the weekend.

In the weekly Talk to the Nation, Roque said the crew of the C-130 when he rode the plane extended their condolences to the fallen soldiers and civilians in the crash.

He said that he rode the C-130 plane, which was used to transport medical supplies, Sinovac vaccines, personal protective equipment and mechanical ventilators in Iloilo City.

"So nag-turnover din tayo ng medical supplies sa Iloilo City at yung C-130 na bumagsak. 'Yun din yung C-130 an sinakyan natin," Roque said.

"Fortunately po, ibang crew ang nandun. Nakikiramay din po. Pero yung nakausap ko na crew, talagang they are also in shock dahil alam nila na it could have happened to them," he added.

The Philippine military said 53 people, including 50 military personnel and three civilians, were killed and 46 others sustained injuries in the plane crash. —NB, GMA News
