Pacquiao-Moreno in Eleksyon 2022 ‘dream match,’ says solon

If Senator Manny Pacquiao will have Isko Moreno as his running mate for Eleksyon 2022, then it will be a dream match and a possible game changer, Buhay Party-list Representative Lito Atienza said.

According to Sandra Aguinaldo's "24 Oras" report, the idea of a Paquiao-Moreno tandem is  also "geographically perfect" since the senator is from Davao while Moreno is from Luzon.

"As far as the two talking to each other wala pa yan. Pero as far as many who are interested in this coming elections I hear this most of the time kaya ako, I'm also much interested na sana hindi maglaban," said Atienza.

"Dapat magsama. Pag nagsama, potential winner," he added.

GMA News has yet to receive comments from Pacquiao and Moreno over the possible tandem.

Meanwhile, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), regional party of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, has to sort out issues with other parties before formally signing their alliance.

So far, Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD), Nacionalista Party, National Unity Party, Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino, and the People’s Reform Party had given intention to form an alliance with HNP.

Anthony Del Rosario, secretary general of HNP, said parties want to have "mutual consent" in choosing the line-up for candidates of president, vice president and senators in next year's elections.—Consuelo Marquez/LDF, GMA News
