PNP COVID-19 cases reach 31,238 after 158 new infections reported

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday said its tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases went up to 31,238 after 158 new cases were recorded.

Of this number, 1,498 are active cases, data from the PNP Health Service showed.

Forty-seven new recoveries were reported, driving up the total to 29,655.

The death toll meanwhile remained at 85, same as on Friday

The country’s COVID-19 cases reached 1,638,345 on Friday after 10,623 new infections were reported, the highest daily infections recorded since April 17. 

The active cases totalled 74,297.

Recoveries were 1,535,375 in total while the death toll was at 28,673. —KG, GMA News
