Sara has no plans to run as PDP-Laban’s standard bearer in Eleksyon 2022 –spokesperson
By HANA BORDEY,GMA NewsDavao City Mayor Sara Duterte had no plans to join PDP-Laban and become its standard bearer for Eleksyon 2022, her spokesperson said Monday.
Mayor Christina Garcia Frasco of Liloan, Cebu issued the statement when asked if the presidential daughter was inclined to join her father’s party ahead of the 2022 national elections.

while Senator Bong Go, his longtime aide, would run for vice president.“Mayor Sara Duterte has already filed her Certificate of Candidacy for Mayor. Not being a member of PDP-Laban, she is not privy to the party's sudden change of plans,” Frasco told GMA News Online in a text message.
“Mayor Sara has no intention of becoming a member of PDP or of being its standard-bearer now or in the near future,” she added.

He said “it is a possibility” that Sara could be PDP-Laban’s standard-bearer for Eleksyon 2022, adding that the President’s remark on the Sara-Go tandem was apparently to “entice Mayor Sara to throw her hat in the national presidency.”
Last Saturday, Go filed his COC for vice president. Moments after this, Sara announced that she filed her COC to seek reelection in Davao City.
In a previous interview, Sara said she had an agreement with her father that only one of them would run for a national post in next year’s polls.
Meanwhile, Go had pledged to be Sara’s running mate should the latter decide to run for president in the 2022 elections. — DVM, GMA News
