Gibo Teodoro files COC for senator in Eleksyon 2022

Former Defense secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. has filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for senator in Eleksyon 2022.

Teodoro’s COC was filed through his representative on Thursday afternoon.

He will run under People’s Reform Party, a political group founded by late former Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago.

PRP earlier said it will support Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte if she runs for president in the coming 2022 elections.

To recall, Teodoro had offered himself as potential running mate of the Davao City mayor.

On June 3, Teodoro flew to Davao City to meet Sara. He also took the opportunity to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in Duterte’s hometown.

Sara has already filed her COC to seek reelection as mayor of Davao City last Saturday.—AOL, GMA News
