PNP COVID-19 cases now 42,092

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday said five new COVID-19 cases were recorded among its personnel, driving up the total tally of infections to 42,092.

Of this number, 174 are active, according to data from the PNP Health Service.

Total recoveries went up to 41,793 after 13 cases recovered.

Meanwhile the death toll remained at 125.

The Department of Health on Sunday reported 1,926 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the Philippines' total caseload to 2,816,980. 

Total recoveries, meanwhile, increased to 2,743,297 after 3,140 more patients defeated the respiratory illness.

The death toll climbed to 45,581 with 309 new fatalities.

Active cases numbered 28,102. —KG, GMA News
