14 returning OFWs in Cebu City test positive for COVID-19

 

Fourteen overseas Filipino workers who returned home to Cebu City on April 28 tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to a report on 24 Oras News Alert on Sunday, the 14 were part of the more than 200 OFWs who were stranded in Manila, and were allowed to travel to their respective provinces this week.

Before travelling to Cebu, the OFWs were required to undergo a 14-day quarantine and rapid testing procedure.

The 14 OFWs who tested positive for the illness will undergo another 14-day quarantine in a hotel in the city. —Ma. Angelica Garcia
