PCG's BRP Gabriela Silang delivers medical supplies, brings LSIs home to Cagayan de Oro

The Philippine Coast Guard's BRP Gabriela Silang docked on Saturday in Cagayan de Oro City bringing much needed medical supplies and locally stranded individuals (LSIs) home, according to a report on GMA News' 24 Oras News Alert.

Among the medical supplies are ventilators, N95 masks and face shields which will be distributed by the Department of Health Region X to hospitals and offices.

Sixteen LSIs from Metro Manila underwent temperature checking and disinfection upon disembarking.

Many individuals were stranded in Metro Manila after Luzon was placed under enhanced community quarantine in mid-March.

After Metro Manila was placed under the more relaxed general community quarantine this month, travel to provinces was opened, allowing LSIs to go home to their hometowns with travel authority from the government. —KG, GMA News
