Ardot Parojinog died of heart attack, tested for COVID-19 -PNP

Former Ozamiz City councilor Ricardo "Ardot" Parojinog died of a heart attack and probable COVID-19, Police Regional Office 10 chief Brigadier General Rolando Anduyan said.

Anduyan said Parojinog’s swab test result was still pending.

Parajinog’s sample was taken by Ozamiz City health office personnel at 11:40 a.m. on Friday and was transported to Cagayan de Oro City for laboratory examination, Anduyan said.

His cadaver was then transported at 2 p.m. by personnel of Gamalinda Funeral Homes and is now at the said funeral homes at Barangay Aguada, Ozamiz City.

Parojinog was found dead inside his detention cell on Friday morning, hours before he was supposed to attend a court hearing in connection with a string of charges, including murder, filed against him.

Philippine National Police spokesman Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac said Parojinog's detention cell was at the Ozamiz City Police Station.

Banac said there was no indication of violence on Parojinog's body. -NB, GMA News
