80-year-old latest COVID-19 fatality in Bataan; number of deaths up to 47

The latest fatality due to COVID-19 in Bataan was an 80-year-old man, bringing the total number of deaths to 47, according to a report on 24 Oras News Alert on Saturday.

As of Saturday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the province was at 2,528 after 29 new infections were reported.

While 2,089 infected persons already recovered from the disease, at least 392 are still active cases.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country rose to 336,926 on Saturday, after the Department of Health reported 2,249 new infections.

Meanwhile, the total recoveries also rose to 276,094 after 842 more patients recovered from the disease.

However,  87 new fatalities brought the death toll to 6,238. —LBG, GMA News
