Woman gives birth outside closed health center in Cagayan de Oro

A woman on Saturday gave birth outside a closed health center in Barangay Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro City, according to Pia Arcangel's report on “24 Oras Weekend.”

The woman, who came with her husband, had planned on giving birth at the health center.

However, they did not know that it was closed after a nurse tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

As she could no longer transfer to a maternity clinic, she gave birth outside the health center. She was helped by a doctor who lived nearby.

The newborn was in a healthy condition.
