Calabarzon cooperatives report power outages as Rolly hits
Several areas in the Calabarzon region experienced power interruptions on Sunday, due to the onslaught of typhoon Rolly (international name: Goni) in the area.
In an advisory, the Calabarzon Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) said the following cooperatives in Batangas, Cavite, and Quezon reported power outages:
- First Laguna Electric Cooperative Inc. (FLECO)
- Batangas I Electric Cooperative Inc. (BATELEC I)
- Batangas II Electric Cooperative Inc. (BATELEC II)
- Quezon I Electric Cooperative Inc. (QUEZELCO I)
- Quezon II Electric Cooperative Inc. (QUEZELCO II)

Typhoon Rolly weakened into a typhoon before noon on Sunday, but still poses a threat as a number of areas remain under various tropical cyclone wind signals.
It made its third landfall over the vicinity of San Narciso in Quezon and its fourth landfall in Lobo, Batangas. Four fatalities have since been reported by Albay Governor Al Francis Bichara. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA News
