Severe soil erosion was reported in the town of Nagtipunan in Quirino province after the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses, according to a report of James Agustin on GMA News’ "Unang Balita" on Wednesday.

In photos from the municipal disaster risk reduction and management office (MDRRMO), soil and rocks can be seen scattered on a road section in Barangay San Pugo.

At least 46 families or over 100 people have evacuated to a school building due to the threat of soil erosion.

Affected residents have appealed for relocation as they fear returning to their homes considering the risk.

As of Tuesday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported 73 deaths from Typhoon Ulysses.
