Residents ask for help as Vicky brings flood to Agusan del Sur

Some residents of Agusan del Sur have taken to social media to ask for help after floods hit parts of the province due to Tropical Depression Vicky.

The hashtag #VickyPH trended due to the cries for assistance.

According to Corinne Catibayan's report on "Saksi", emergency personnel rescued residents trapped amid raging flood waters in Bunawan town.

Floods in the municipality reportedly reached neck-high.

A photo by the Philippine Information Agency showed flooding in Rosario town had almost reached the roofs of houses.

Photos show several residents and some cars submerged in floodwater while others were trapped on roofs.

Residents and cars at the National Highway in Rosario were also trapped due to the flooding.

Photos shared by the PIA-Agusan del Sur showed police authorities helping residents cross the flood in San Francisco.

San Francisco Mayor Solomon Rufila has suspended work in all government and private establishments on Friday due to the inclement weather, according to the local government.

The LGU also said that all rescue teams have been mobilized.
