12 children fall ill after drinking juice given by LGU in Rizal

At least 12 children fell ill after drinking juice, which is part of the food assistance distributed in Barangay Dolores in Taytay, Rizal, according to a report on Saksi on Monday.

One of the children remains confined in the hospital since Friday.

The parents said the juice they received was already expired.

The local government unit, meanwhile, cannot conclude whether the incident could be qualified as food poisoning.

The LGU and the juice manufacturer are conducting an investigation and will be distributing some assistance to the affected individuals. -- BAP, GMA News
