Special economic zone focusing on education, research set to rise in Cavite

A special economic zone known as "ALTAHUB" will soon be installed in Cavite to promote education, research and economic growth.

In a statement on Tuesday, the University of Perpetual Help-DALTA System management said it signed a memorandum of agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) last May 5 for the plans in building the University of Perpetual Help-DALTA System campus into a special economic zone in Bacoor.

As a special economic zone, the campus will address the gap between needs of industry and products of the educational system.

It will also conduct research "which can uplift the lives of the majority in the community."
