Suspected Calabarzon hitman arrested in Calamba

Calamba City police officers on Saturday arrested an alleged hitman who was involved in numerous killings.

According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” authorities arrested John Marco Sandoval, an alleged hitman involved in shootings in Calamba, Laguna, and Batangas.

With the help of witnesses and CCTV footage, authorities found the hideout of the suspect. Police arrested Sandoval in a hot pursuit operation.

“May pointer sila diyan, ina-identify nila kung sino ‘yung target. Then naka motor sila. Pagna-spot-an na nila ‘yung target nila, babarilin nila doon,” Calamba Police chief Police Colonel Arnel Pagulayan said.

(They have pointers, they will identify the target. Once they spot the target, they will shoot them.)

“Immediately, ang ginawa ng tropa natin, nag backtrack ng mga CCTV,” he added.

Retrieved from the suspect were a motorcycle, a caliber .45 pistol, a cellphone, and numerous fake identification cards, including an AFP ID with the suspect’s photo under a different name.

“Meron siyang apat na warrant of arrest: isa for murder, isa for homicide, isa for direct assault, at isang usurpation of authority,” Pagulayan said.

(He has 4 warrants of arrest. One for murder, one for homicide, one for direct assault, and one for usurpation of authority.)

GMA News had sought comment from the suspect.
