With 15 new infections, Pinoys abroad with COVID-19 now at 9,407 — DFA

Fifteen more Filipinos abroad have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total to 9,407, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

The DFA also announced that total recoveries rose to 5,462 with one new case while the death toll remained at 666.

At present, there are 3,279 patients still undergoing treatment.

Based on data from the DFA, there are a total of 904 cases in the Asia and the Pacific region. Of the number of cases, 252 patients are undergoing treatment, 646 haec recovered, and six have died.

In Europe, there are 1,108 cases with 504 patients undergoing treatment. A total of 509 patients have recovered in the region while 95 have succumbed to the illness.

No new cases were reported in the Middle East or Africa and the Americas.

Total cases in the Middle East or Africa remained at 6,690 with 2,400 patients undergoing treatment, 3,896 recoveries, and 394 fatalities.

Meanwhile, the Americas has reported a total of 705 cases with 123 patients undergoing treatment, 411 recoveries, and 171 fatalities. — RSJ, GMA News
