No appointments for 'yellow card' until December 2021

Securing appointments for a "yellow card" for international travel will only be available by December 2021 as demand for the said document increases.

In June Veneracion's "Saksi" report, the Bureau of Quarantine's (BOQ) website showed that the earliest possible appointment for the yellow card is in December 2021.

The yellow card or International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis (ICVP) is a document issued by the BOQ indicating the vaccines taken by an individual which he/she can present to his/her country of destination.

With this, BOQ Director Roberto Salvador appealed to the public to secure yellow cards only if they have a confirmed flight.

"Nakikisuyo po sana kami na yun po munang may immediate need ng yellow card yung mga paalis na may confirmed flight yun na lang po muna mag-book," he said.

Meanwhile, Salvador warned against "fixers" who are offering appointment slots for P580 to P10,000 for the yellow card.

Issuance of yellow card is only worth P300, he added.
