Magnitude 5 earthquake strikes Davao Occidental anew

A magnitude 5.0 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Friday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

PHIVOLCS said the earthquake is an aftershock

of the magnitude 7.1 earthquake that jolted the city on Thursday evening.

The tectonic earthquake struck Jose Abad Santos at 6:45 p.m. It had a depth of 114 kilometers.
