Magnitude 5 earthquake recorded in Zambales —PHIVOLCS

A magnitude 5.0 earthquake was recorded on Sunday morning to have occurred in the waters of Zambales, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said. 

The quake occurred at 8:17 a.m.

The tectonic earthquake had its epicenter at 15.52°N, 118.33°E - 169 km N 87° W of the municipality of Palauig.

The quake had a depth of 22 kilometers.

PHIVOLCS said no damage is expected but aftershocks may occur. —KG, GMA News
