Magnitude 5.1 earthquake strikes offshore Antique
By GMA NewsA magnitude 5.1 earthquake was recorded offshore Antique on Saturday afternoon, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The tectonic quake occurred at 12:25 p.m. and had a depth of 6 kilometers.
Its epicenter was located at 10.28°N, 121.83°E - 020 km S 32° W of the municipality of Anini-y.
PHIVOLCS said the quake was felt in the following areas:
- Intensity IV - Anini-y, Tobias Fornier, and San Jose de Buenavista, Antique;
- Intensity III - Belison, and Sibalom, Antique; Iloilo City; and
- Intensity II - Bugasong, Barbaza, and Patnongon, Antique.
