With Ambo expected to exit PAR, Philippines to have generally fair, warm weather

With the low pressure area (LPA) previously known as Tropical Depression Ambo on its way out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Monday, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have generally fair and warm weather from morning to noon, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

The country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.

The localized thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon or evening

, PAGASA weather specialist Ariel Rojas said in the 4 a.m. public weather forecast.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

At 3 a.m., the LPA was located 155 km northeast of Basco, Batanes. It is expected to exit PAR by noon or in the afternoon.

Forecast range of temperatures in key areas are as follows:

  • Tuguegarao: 26ºC-36ºC
  • Laoag: 26ºC-33ºC
  • Metro Manila: 27ºC-34ºC
  • Tagaytay: 21ºC-32ºC

  • Puerto Princesa: 27ºC-34ºC
  • Cebu: 28ºC-34ºC
  • Iloilo: 26ºC-32ºC

  • Davao: 25ºC-32ºC
  • Zamboanga: 26ºC-33ºC

 

Coastal waters will be moderate to strong in Northern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of Luzon, and in Visayas and Mindanao.
