Janine Gutierrez shares film quote many can relate to: ‘Mas maganda pa rin ako’

Janine Gutierrez is one of today’s hottest and most award-winning actresses, but that doesn’t stop her from being down-to-earth and relatable.

On Instagram Thursday, she shared a screen grab from her film “Elise,” which quoted her character as saying: “Nakita ko ’yung babae. Sakto lang. Mas maganda pa rin ako.”

She added the tongue-in-cheek caption: “Raise your hand if you’ve said this before.”

The 2019 romantic comedy “Elise” tells the story of two childhood friends, the titular character, and Bert, who has always been in love with her, as they reunite after many years.

Janine’s films “Elise” and “Spirit of the Glass 2” are now available on Netflix.

The actress also played the lead character on “Babae at Baril,” which won for her the Best Actress award at the 2019 QCinema International Film Festival.

Directed by multi-awarded Filipino filmmaker Rae Red, “Babae at Baril” was recently chosen as the opening film at the 2020 New York Asian Film Festival. – RC, GMA News
