Marian Rivera to star in Tanghalang Ateneo's adaptation of 'Oedipus Rex'

It looks like Marian Rivera will be making a theater debut!

On Instagram, actor, writer and filmmaker Katski Flores revealed that Marian will be part of the cast of Tanghalang Ateneo's "Oedipus Rex."

She posted a photo of their video call, which included Marian.

"This is a launching pad. Welcome to the tribe Marian Rivera! Enjoy and stay will you?" Flores wrote in her caption.

In the comments section, Marian said, "Maraming salamat."

Flores replied to her, saying, "Maraming salamat sa pagtanggap!"

Yan Yuzon, a Tanghalang Ateneo alumni who will be playing Oedipus, expressed his excitement over "sharing the stage with one of our country's greatest film and television actors in Marian Rivera-Dantes, making her first-ever steps 'onstage' — in one of the greatest tragedies ever told."
