Heart Evangelista to release ‘Breathe You,’ her never-before-heard song from 2005

Heart Evangelista isn’t just the actress, artist and fashion icon we’ve come to love and know today. She also dabbled in music years ago!

After rummaging through her box of memories and finding an album she recorded in 2005, Heart is set to release the never-before-heard single “Breathe You.”

“It was three lifetimes ago ... I still love this song very, very much,” Heart told GMA News Online in an exclusive interview on Friday.

“It’s been 15 years ... sayang naman. It’s like finding a diamond and you’re just hiding it forever. Might as well share it, and it’s my favorite song and I just want to share it with everyone at home.”

According to the actress, the song is chill and “very” her, made during a whole different part of her life.

“It was just a good time in my life. I just turned 21. I just found my independence noong time na ’yun,” she said.

“It was the first time I could call the shots. If I liked the song I could sing the song, I could do whatever. It was just so liberating for me at the time. That was a really good chapter of my life. This song really reminds me of that time,” she added.

With the upcoming release of “Breathe You,” Heart shared that she hoped the single would help people out.

“I hope that this lessens your anxiety, that’s one. I hope you feel good listening to this music alone when you’re having wine, eating dinner,” Heart said.
