Rocco Nacino to play younger Mike Enriquez in 'Imbestigador' docudrama special

Rocco Nacino is set to play a younger version of "24 Oras" anchor Mike Enriquez in the 20th anniversary special of "Imbestigador."

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," the upcoming docudrama episode will show how the "Imbestigador" host began his career as a broadcast journalist.

Rocco said he learned a lot by portraying Enriquez, who initially wanted to be a priest before he started as a radio DJ.

"Mahirap i-pull off 'yung ginagawa ni Sir Mike ah, 'yung confidence na kailangan mo para maging matatak 'yung boses mo," said the "Descendants of the Sun" star.

Nonie Buencamino and Gina Alajar will play Enriquez' parents while Elle Villanueva will appear as his wife Baby, who was apparently charmed by his voice and witticisms.

"Kung may galawang breezy ngayon, naku iba 'yung galawang breezy niya noon," Rocco said.

But if there's a lesson that the viewers can pick up from watching Enriquez' humble beginnings, it's his commitment and dedication to what he does.

"Passion is what gets you to somewhere. He is who he is nowadays pero how he started kahanga-hanga talaga," Rocco said. —MGP, GMA News
