Barbie Forteza, David Licauco share story behind random reunion at nail spa

Barbie Forteza and David Licauco recently reunited at a nail spa shortly after the actress took a vacation in Chicago.

They ran into each other randomly, according to David's post on Twitter. So how exactly did they meet?

In Lhar Santiago's report on "24 Oras," Monday, the two shared the story behind their reunion.

"Naloka nga ako kasi bigla siyang nag-send sa akin ng picture ng kotse ko. Tinanong niya sa 'kin, car mo ba 'to? Kasi naka-park ako du'n sa labas ng building," Barbie said.

"Kasi nu'ng paglabas ko ng car, nakita ko 'yung car ni Barbie," David narrated. "So pinicturan ko and sent it to Barbie."

The Kapuso Primetime Princess then quipped: "So hindi mo talaga ko pinuntahan, nagkataon lang?"

"Parang feeling ko nandu'n ka kasi eh," David teased back.

But wait, there's more: the Pambansang Ginoo also met Barbie's mom!

"Actually mabait 'yung mom ni Barbie. Very welcoming naman siya," he said.

Barbie and David are working on a new project together under Pocket Media Productions.

They recently starred in "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko: Lady and Luke" and the music video for Ben&Ben's cover of "The Way You Look At Me."

Also known as Team BarDa, the pair became the nation's hottest love team when they partnered in "Maria Clara at Ibarra" as Klay and Fidel, aka Team FiLay.
